Cha-Ching 2 Beta Update
Greetings, this blog post is primarily to announce the availability of Cha-Ching 2 Beta 7.
The primary focus of this update is behind the scenes support for our upcoming iPhone/iPod Touch application.
This includes:
* New system for entering and managing payees (Payees will take on a very larger roll in the Cha-Ching work flow in the very near future)
* New syncing/device management (not user exposed yet but will be soon)
* Speed enhancements
* Misc interface enhancements
*Database changes/upgrades
This particular release will likely not feel as “complete” as it should…. many of the new things we are adding are not fully implemented at the time of this release. That being said we needed to get the extension out to all of our beta testers to keep everyone up and running who have adopted the 2.0 beta as their primary means of using Cha-Ching.
You will notice that the expiration date for this beta has been set to the end of April. This does not mean we won’t be releasing the application before then. We just want to make sure that we don’t run up against any other beta expiration issues between now and our release.
Cha-Ching Touch Update
Internal beta testing of Cha-Ching touch has been going very well. This weekend, we will be seeding the new Cha-Ching Touch Beta to selected beta testers. We had an open call for beta testers earlier this week and had over 100 beta requests on the first day alone.
We will only be taking a select few testers for this initial beta as we need to keep our testing focused and efficient.
We won’t be posting much more public information about the Touch application until we have submitted to the app store. It won’t be long now though!
Progress on the desktop app has been ramping heavily as of late so you will probably see another update before the end of the weekend that will iron out and fully implement some of the changes that we are making.
