Introduction

23 Nov 06

You may notice I’ve been responding to some of your e-mails for service and support. Thank you for the great feedback and understanding as we work through the move towards 1.0 and beyond. There may be some delay as we ramp up our support but I should be responding within 24 hours for most issues. Registration issues, feature requests, localization requests and bug reports, keep them all coming.

One request, if you could please submit screen shots for any issues if possible, that would help out a lot. I recommend SnapNDrag which is free and easy to use.

We will be launching a forum very soon and working on a few surprises. I’ve seen the list of bug fixes and changes coming and wow..

I think I speak for the team when I say we’re thankful for your contributions.

Features and Look

22 Nov 06

There have been a few comments on the changes made to the look and feel of the application. Are there elements you like or dislike in the new interface that are related to how things interact or is it primarily color choices and ‘texture’?

What are some additional options you would like to be able to use and what are some items you would like the ability to toggle on and off?

Does the fading of the background app elements when working with a pane help with focus?

What type of feedback options would you like to see added to the blog/website:

1. Polls
2. FAQs
3. Forums
4. Some kind of robotic monkey that comes to your location to get your notes then sprouts wheels and drives to us

Thanks. Have a good holiday.

Big Update (Finally!)

20 Nov 06

I want to start off by apologizing to all of you guys. I have been struggling to get this update out for a while now. Many obstacles came along that prevented progress on the app, but I want to tell you that many of the issues have been resolved. There is a new designer on board named Josh Pyles that did all the new graphics for this update. We wanted a fresh look for Cha-Ching and that he did! I promise you I will post much more on the blog with updates on progress. I will ask more questions to see what you guys want in the later releases, I will post more screenshots and videos. I even have plans for a Podcast to talk about where we see Cha-Ching going and it’s progress.

I want to thank Matthew Arevalo for helping me stay in touch with you guys on the blog. He is making sure you guys get what you want and the communication between the users and developer stays solid. Thanks Matthew!

I am happy to tell you guys that we have released Cha-Ching Beta 0.03. It is an absolute huge update with many many many bug fixes. The last round of features to be added are Accounts, Budgets, .Mac Backup and Revert, Password protection, Attachments for transactions and many small little ones as a surprise ;).

Trust me guys, I hear you loud and clear about CSV import and export, printing and many more. We are working very hard to make sure it is simple and painless for you guys. We want Cha-Ching to be fun and easy yet very powerful. That is a very hard balance to achieve. I read every comment on the blog and every single email that comes into my mailbox.

I want to thank you so much for your support during this beta process. You guys have proven that the Mac software market is wonderful! Don’t forget to fire up Cha-Ching to get the latest update. Here are some screenshots for your viewing pleasure. And yes you are right, the main window fades to white when working with a panel. Enjoy!
