State of the Pig (Again)

26 Jul 07

To say that this year has been a roller-coaster of events is an understatement. Midnight Apps and Cha-Ching, in particular, have exceeded any expectations I had. My life has not been without its challenges which affected my involvement with my company and the community that surrounds it. I feel that the greatest thing about the independent Mac community is the developers’ involvement with his/her users. Because of my lack of updates and involvement with the community has been lacking recently, I feel I should explain what has happened and what I plan for the future.

I just recently lost the one constant that I treasured more than anything in the world, my marriage. I just separated with my wife of two years, partner for 6 years. The one person I thought understood me, unconditionally loved me and supported me is gone. I am not sure how to explain how much that affected me over the past couple of months. I lost all passion for life, love and even the Mac! I am now just getting to the point where I can be comfortable with my current living situation and my social life. I feel I now can jump back to creating a kick-ass product and continue to create other products as time goes on.

I want to thank you all for all of your patience and understanding during these hard times that came upon me.

Very sorry to hear that. It can completely derail you life for years, let alone months. I’m glad to hear you are moving on and forward (and not just with Cha-Ching).

    Good luck!
